Q: We are considering relocating our conveyor, do we need to do anything?

Our safety officers advise:

The Elevating Devices Safety Regulation (EDSR) says the following:

33.   Relocation of wire rope tows and conveyors – The owner of a passenger ropeway may, with the prior approval of a provincial safety officer, operate a moveable passenger ropeway at various locations.

Before you start any relocation work you will need to contact the passenger ropeway safety officer for your area to discuss the relocation and what documentation, engineering, testing and inspections that may be required.
