But before you start zipping over treetops, it's important to keep safety in mind. Ensuring that you have the appropriate technical equipment and are taking necessary safety measures can make a significant impact on your zip lining experience. Here are some important tips to help you have a safe and enjoyable zip lining adventure.  ### **Choose a Reputable Company**  When selecting a zip line company, do your research to ensure that they have positive reviews and are properly licensed and insured. This will give you peace of mind knowing that you're in good hands.  ###  **Inspect the Equipment**  Before embarking on your zip lining adventure, take a moment to inspect the equipment. It is a requirement for the operator to thoroughly inspect the equipment prior to each use, however, it's always good practice to check the harness, carabiners, and other gear for signs of wear and tear yourself. If anything seems off, notify the company and ask for new equipment.  ### **Wear the Right Gear**  Wearing the right gear is essential for a safe and enjoyable zip lining experience. This includes a properly fitted harness, helmet, and closed-toe shoes. Make sure that the harness fits snugly and is adjusted properly by a trained guide.  ### **Follow Instructions**  Listen carefully to the instructions given by the guides before you start your zip lining adventure. This will help you understand the proper techniques for braking and landing, and other important safety tips.
